One day when Olivia and I were at Macey’s a few months back, we stopped to talk to Adam. We told him that Olivia was getting ready to go on a mission. He was so excited. And he pulled from his pocket under his apron, a missionary tag. He told us he had just started a service mission, where one day a week he was able to do various forms of service in the community. He was SO EXCITED AND PLEASED about this. He told us how he worked in the laundry at the temple, or at the DI or all sorts of various places where he felt useful and loved.
And I LOVED IT!
A few weeks later, after Olivia had left, he told me he was speaking in church on Sunday, and would I like to come. You know I did! So I went to Adam’s farewell-of-sorts. It was wonderful to see this man serving and doing what he could to help the Lord. It was a breath of much needed fresh air. Love Adam.
