Every year the Draper Park (which is about 300 yards from my house) lights up their trees. The grand central figure is one dubbed “The Tree of Life,” an old globe willow that they light up like a box of fire crackers.
This year, since we lived so very close, we went to the tree lighting ceremony and festivities. They had a marshmallow roast, hot chocolate, characters for the kids to meet, of course the beautiful trees to look at, and even Santa and Mrs. Clause came to the barn.
What a fun evening!
