Today I logged into my blog and happened to notice:
that last post, the one about Calvin’s Birthday, that was the !!ONE THOUSANDTH!! post.
(Which makes this the one thousand and first post).
One thousand stories, days, thoughts, complaints, contemplations, ideas, moments . . . recorded here.
It sounds like a lot, but when you consider I started this blog just over ten years ago, it’s not really so many. Lots of moments have been lost to the recesses of memory and time.
“Oh, earth, you’re too wonderful for anybody to realize you. Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it — every, every minute?” – Thornton Wilder
Olivia and Calvin have discovered my blog. And they love to read the stories. I often find them on my site, deep in the archives, reading stories that they’ve long since forgotten. Their favorites are always the ones in which they are the star. They laugh at their own adorable tales, and eagerly search the site for more.
And even Wyatt will sit down about once a month and read through the stories. Sometimes he says it gives him an idea of what’s going on in our lives . . . like he’s some how missed it. Usually he just says it helps him keep his blessings in perspective.
It does that for me too.
I love it too. It makes me cry happy tears.
