We’ve been to the doctor more times this week than in the entire previous year combined!
First, on Wednesday night, I was putting a pot up in a cupboard, and there was a knife in the pot. I knew there was a knife in the pot, but forgot to take it out. So as I lifted the pot above my head, and tipped it to fit into the cupboard, the knife came spilling out–landing on my face.
We went to the insta-care around the corner at Wyatt’s insistence. I personally didn’t think it was that bad. But they gave me four stitches on my forehead. Ai Ai Ai!
Then Thursday I was scheduled to go for a routine visit at my OB’s, but when I got there come to find out they don’t take our insurance (we switched over the summer). So we had to cancel, come home, get the insurance thing figured out, and then reschedule (for next week).
Thursday evening we ended up taking Olivia to the after hours pediatrics clinic because she had been really fussy all day, and I was convinced she was sick. They diagnosed an eye infection and a slight ear infection. She’s now on antibiotics and seems to be feeling much better.
For a family that rarely goes to the doctor’s, this week has been quite an anomaly. It just makes you grateful for health insurance!
