Every year the garden grows a little bigger and feels a little more magical. We got lots of tomatos and peppers that I used to make my own home made salsa, and other things. Of course there was too much for me do everything with, and I’m sad to say we did throw some away. We do the best we can.
Other things:
-A kajillion peppers, a kajillion tomatoes. Made entire batches of salsa using my own garden grown veggies.
- Like 5 good sized watermelon. Yum!
-Grew some David Austen Roses – “Olivia,” “Claire,” and “Tess of the D’Ubervilles”
- Tried some Gladiolus, and they worked! And they were beautiful! Definitely added to the regular garden rotation.
- Tried some ranunculus from seed – and they worked. YAY!
- Tried some ruffly cosmos, which I loved. (I kinda thought they looked like Ranunculus). But I think I’m going to retire cosmos from the garden for a few years. They get pretty messy.
- Grew strawberries. Yay!
- Wisteria grew like mad-awesome!
- Dahlias! Still learning, but getting better each year.
– This tiny calla lily that I didn’t even know came up until I was tearing out the garden. It was hidden in the shade of the other bigger things in the box. But yay!
