Grandpa Turns 91

The Herzog Family Cabin in Silverfork up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was built by my Grandpa Herzog and his brother, Ralph. At some point (long before I remember, Grandpa bought Ralph out, and it was the cabin of my childhood. Except when I was a kid it was dark brown with yellow trim, a’la the National Parks and our (Wyatt & I’s) cabin. By the time of this photo & this party, Aunt Jayne had bought the cabin from Grandpa, and done a lot of work to improve it, including a paint job! 😀

Among all the other events of fourth of July weekend, I did want to mention that we went to a Herzog family barbeque at the cabin in celebration of Grandpa’s birthday. (Hurray Grandpa). He’s 91. Still going!
