I’m About to Loose Control and I Think I Like It

{If you know the song that the title of this post comes from, the you will understand the meaning of this post}

In talking about the past three days, I could –

talk about how I threw a birthday party, and planned it for the exact hour that the school asked me last minute to come up to run an art project (and the guilt and stress I felt about that).

I could talk about the four hours I spent searching for the right books needed for our Super Saturday project before finally buying ones that weren’t really in the budget.

I could talk about photographing (last minute) two beautiful paintings for a local artist whose work had been accepted for a Book of Mormon Studies Magazine issue. She needed them right away to be turned in.

I could talk about the four hours I’ve spent on the phone the past two days with various lawyers and city departments regarding one of our properties (not to worry, just the usual maintenance of having a rental).

I could talk about the meeting I had with Wyatt and his campaign manager to design two new mailers for the upcoming weeks.

Or about the meeting with Olivia’s new piano teacher. {So, so excited!}

Or, oh yeah, about how I spent half a day downtown at the court house fulfilling my life long dream of serving jury duty. (Not kidding, lifelong).

Or maybe you’d like to hear about this sweet little baby I’ve been babysitting.

I could write about the three hours I spent this morning finishing (hurrah!) the books for Super Saturday.

I might write about how I cooked a burrito in the microwave for ten minutes (oops), started a fire (shucks) and had to then scrub the microwave for a half hour to get the stain out (acetone, who knew right?).

But I think I will simply say this:

I’ve been thinking about a redesign of my website all year, but the design has eluded me. I haven’t worried about it too much because I haven’t had the time to really deal with it anyway. But today, it hit me! Like a bolt!!
