In the week leading up to Olivia’s being set apart for her mission we had a few last hurrahs –
- Thomas & Miranda took the cute girl out to dinner. They’re sure gonna miss her. We’re all gonna miss her.
- We had a Girls-Night-Out with Olivia, her aunties, and cousin Oaklee.
- We had one last family dinner before she left – at her request. (Are you sure? I asked – we had just had a Christmas party, and everyone was coming for the farewell, not to mention the last hurrahs. But she wanted to see everyone and have one last family dinner . . .)
Before the family dinner she was set apart as a missionary by our Stake Presidency, who came to our house, along with our Bishop. They each took turns sharing about the joy of missionary work, and how Olivia would be a great and vital part of the work. It was really wonderful. Then President Jackson set her apart.
I’m so excited for this wonderful girl. I’m so grateful she has chosen this goodness for her life.
XOXO
