One day we were hard at work doing some chores.
“If you guys can get this done, we can do night games tonight” I promised. A little motivation never hurts.
Well, the chores got done, but then other things happened, and by the time evening rolled around I was exhausted (read: grumpy) and not in the mood for the games. I reneged on my promise.
So the next morning I figured I’d better commit myself before my evening “exhaustion” set in. I sent out a text to some of the mamma’s in the ward . . .
Night games tonight at my house. Popsicles for all. I’m not babysitting (sorry) so don’t send kids who can’t self-maintain. If you want to come sit and chat the evening away on the lawn with me, please do!
That evening we had 25 kids running up and down the street, happily playing (perhaps not night games though).
And the mammas (and some pappas) sat and enjoyed the evening till almost midnight!
