(*I had pictures, and even videos of us going down the hill, but they seem to have been deleted off my phone. That’s the trouble with letting little lovelies play with your phone*)
We had a huge snow storm a week and a half ago – the type that started in the purple evening light on Thursday, and ended in the peachy afternoon light on Saturday, leaving behind well over a foot of fresh, powdery snow. Lots of schools in the county and state were closed, but my kids had no such luck. But Friday was (is) early out day, so as soon as Olivia came home, we bundled up and headed out to play in the Winter Magic.
We went around the corner to our sledding hill, where all four kids braved the slopes in good nature and good fun. We couldn’t get down the hill without being doused in a thick spray of freezing white, but still the kids were thrilled. Each took their turn of re-warming in the car, but each returned with excitement for their turn. I was surprised when they complained after an hour, when I told them it was time to go. But home to hot chocolate seemed to cheer them up.
