Today we had a fun surprise in the mail: a get well card and puzzle for Olivia from her cousin Dessie, illustrated by her artist-extrodinaire-mother, Melinda. I think I will frame the card and use it in Olivia’s new room, coming this summer. The picture above is not from the card, I will post that as soon as I can get myself downstairs to scan it. It’s darling. In the mean time, you can enjoy this picture by Melinda, which always reminds me of me & Andi when we were kids.
Saturday – the end of week 16.
So exciting! I told Wyatt my secret last night. I told him I hadn’t said anything yet, because I didn’t want to jinx it. But at the same time, I really felt like it was a miracle in my life – a real testament that Heavenly Father is aware of me, and that is always humbling/exciting to know.
I hadn’t thrown up all week. Sure, I had times when I didn’t feel that great. But I didn’t feel horrible. And I hadn’t thrown up.
(And as I type this I have to say, I did throw up about twenty minutes ago, but it wasn’t too bad, and I’m grateful I got a whole week of life unexpectedly good!)
And I had cleaned my house – my whole house, including my basement, including vacuuming. And it feels nice to sit in a clean house. I have high hopes of doing something fun with my kids in the next day or two (after this next snow storm passes – boo!).
It was a good week.
And the best part is: tomorrow is week 17!
I should totally be a Fortune Teller! Man am I good?!? Congratulations on your good week, I am glad to hear that it wasn’t so bad. You have a clean house on a Saturday night… That’s really good! You are totally ahead of me and I only have one baby and I’m not sick! Keep on Keeping on…. We love you and miss you! Have a good week!
Congrats on your good week!!!! That’s worth celebrating. Now only 3 more weeks until you’re half way – Love it!!! Hopefully next week will be even better. (I hope I didn’t just jinx it)
