My hands are so full lately it’s hard to find a moment to write. (Right now both babies are asleep, and I’m waiting for a pot of water to boil . . . so here we go!)
Last week we went to the state fair. It was opening day, and we thought we’d check it out. We walked around a few exhibits, especially the animal barns, where Olivia loved the goats and bunnies. We watched the Turkey Stampede, a race of giant gobblers. Olivia thought that was so funny. We ran into a family in our ward. Each of the four of them had entered into the photography contests, and each had one at least one ribbon. Maybe next year I’ll enter into the fair.
On Friday we went to the farmers market to get our veggies to make grandma’s salsa. Again, I went it alone this year. On Friday I bought the veggies, Saturday I cut and prepped them, and today I’m canning the salsa.
Sunday afternoon we went up to the Herzog Cabin for a little barbecue with my grandparents, and aunt & uncle and cousins. It’s always fun to get together with them, and we haven’t been up to the cabin in a long time.
It’s been a fun, busy week!
