Roo’s Birthday was fast.
Luckily we celebrated on two days.
Maybe we’ll celebrate again on Sunday.
When we got up, we all went into his room and sang Happy Birthday to him. He really seemed to enjoy the attention because he smiled his happiest Roo smile ever!
Unfortunately there was a lot to do that day. Wyatt had to go to some meetings, and I took the kids to do some birthday shopping and get necessary items for cake an ice cream. Then we had to run to an activity at the church.
That afternoon we made his cake, and I helped Wyatt with some campaign print media. Then Wyatt had a meeting with his campaign manager at our house. While he was meeting, I tried to take some pictures of Andrew on his big day. As soon as he was done we ate some dinner and ran out the door to Aunt Linda’s.
My cousin Anna was moving to China. We’ve known all summer they were leaving, but they didn’t have a date until Tuesday – when they found out they were leaving on Thursday morning! So Wednesday night (Roo’s birthday) we went up there for dessert and an evening of hanging out before they left. (Sniff*)
Then we went home for cake and ice cream. But it was so late we decided we’d have cake and ice cream for breakfast the next morning (which we did).
Then I had to run to a Relief Society meeting for my calling.
Then home, where I collapsed into bed.
The next morning, as promised, we had cake for breakfast (Eggs, good. Flour, good. Chocolate, goooood!)
I feel very bad that his day wasn’t as big and exciting as other days. But we shall have to celebrate it again tomorrow.
Love you big boy, Roo.
Where’s Hazan?
He wasn’t there. He was in Washington still – work. But I thought it turned out to be a pretty good family picture considering it was spur of the moment.
Anj! I LOVE the picture you took of the fam out in my parents garden! Love you! Thanks for coming to see me off! You are dear to my heart! Love and miss you! Oh and that little boy of yours is so dang handsome! Happy Birthday Andrew!
