Day 10 – 11
Day 10 we got up and hiked Table Rock – a little plateau that sat directly behind Wyatt’s childhood home. It was a quick 2 1/2 mile hike up to see beautiful views of the valley where Wyatt grew up.
We tried to start early – the forcast for the day was 100 degrees. 9 am and most of the hikers we passed were on their way down.

But it was a good little hike.
After that we buckled in and headed East – ready to head home. We drove all afternoon to Winnemucca, Nevada — the true arm pit of Nevada. There we crashed for one last night.
Day 11
And on day 11 we continued across the expansive Nevada wasteland and home to Salt Lake.
What a fun, fantastic trip. It was full of great explores, fun hikes, stunning vistas, and shocking discoveries of the variety and beauty of the earth. I hope the kids remember this trip!
PS – OUR CAR HAS AN ENGINE TIMER, SO WE TIMED HOW MUCH DRIVING TIME WE DID ON THIS TRIP. HERE IS THE GRAND FINALE AT HOME IN OUR DRIVEWAY. IT SEEMS LIKE ALOT – 70 HOURS OVER 11 DAYS. BUT OTHER THAN DRIVING ACROSS NEVADA THERE AND BACK, THERE WEREN’T ANY TIMES THAT WE WERE IN THE CAR MUCH MORE THAN 3 HOURS, AND THOSE TIMES WERE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. WE REALLY TRIED TO KEEP DRIVING QUICK AND ADVENTURES LONG!
