Wednesday, July 2nd was the fulfillment of a 9 year dream . . .
To spend the day at the cabin . . . then go to the rodeo in the evening . . . then go back to the cabin to sleep.
Last year we had the cabin under contract . . . and we had the keys to it for inspections and so forth. I was sooooo tempted to just go spend the night there. But Wyatt wouldn’t go for that (even if I had tried), so this is the first year that this idea has been an option. (At our own cabin. One year we rented a cabin for this very purpose).
Anyhoo . . . we went to the cabin and played all day. Then that evening we all got dressed and went to the rodeo. I got the kids cute cowboy hats and banadanas and flag t-shirts for the rodeo. They were . . . well, let’s just say it, ADORABLE! I even had strangers come and ask to take pictures of my cute kids (don’t worry, old grandma’s, not middle-aged creepers).
The rodeo, was, as always, a total blast. This was year nine of this fun family tradition. Next year I’m making custom Christensen family t-shirts for the event.
