Let’s be honest, 4th of July weekend did not turn out how I envisioned it. The 4th of July was on Saturday this year, and we planned to go to the cabin on Wednesday night/Thursday morning and spend the weekend up there playing and having fun. Our tickets to the Rodeo were for Friday night, and then on Saturday I thought we’d go to the Oakley town 4th of July parade and the kid’s rodeo. Well, Wyatt was slammed at work, and we didn’t get out of town until Friday morning. We spent the day doing not-a-lot. We didn’t even go up to the lake. When the rodeo came around we went. It was YEAR 10 of this very fun and special tradition for our family. I told Wyatt last year I was going to make us matching shirts for the Rodeo, and we’d be that family. I was true to my word, and the shirts turned out really cute I think. //embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
Saturday we went to the parade, but it didn’t work out to do any other celebrations. So we just went back to the cabin and goofed off for a couple more hours before heading home to go to a barbeque and fireworks at the Enghs.
