When we got home from Europe I told Wyatt –
“I don’t want to go anywhere for spring break.”
Then one day he called me. “Flights are on a great sale to Fiji.”
I’ve always wanted to go to Fiji.
But it was over spring break.
(But mostly, it was over conference weekend. And conference weekend is MY FAVORITE – as in, I’d rather stay home and watch conference than go to Fiji).
I had all sorts of plans for the break. So many projects we could tackle, so many things around the house and yard we could do to just get it in great shape for the summer.
And then the great winter of 23 came. And the weather did NOT cooperate. Snow, rain, cold days. Misery. We were mostly condemned to days inside looking out, and trying to not step on each others toes . . . too much.
We did have an exciting end to our Spring Break though –
- Avery was baptized. It was great to go see him and support him in this important step in his life. Love that kid! The cousins did a great job singing a song at his baptism too.
- Easter dinner. We hadn’t had a family get together in several months, so it was fun to have everyone over for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt.
