Here are some great things that have come from Calvin in the past week:
The other night we were cleaning up the house before bed. All the other kids had gone upstairs to get ready, while Calvin finished sweeping the kitchen floor and I finished loading the dishwasher.
Calvin said to me: “Mom, I just don’t have the words to tell you how much I appreciate everything you do for me.”
Swoon.
Wyatt took Calvin skiing the other day. Cal is by far our best skier and can keep up with Wyatt on what ever hill they take. Cal asked Wyatt:
“Do they let kids into the Olympics?”
Wyatt proceeded to tell Cal about the Jr. Olympics and being old enough for the Olympics, and the ski teams training in Utah, etc. etc. – all the time you have to imagine the wheels turning in Cal’s head.
Cal then told Wyatt: “I’m going to grow up and win the Olympics . . . because then it will help me become President.”
Last night Cal asked me to run to the store for him.
“Why?” I asked.
With a total straight face Cal told me – “I’m running low on million dollar bills.”
Hahaha! So am I buddy!
This morning as he helped me unload groceries right before the start of General Conference he said:
“General Conference is my favorite weekend – we just sit around and listen to the prophets, and we eat good food, and no tight clothes – you know, we just stay in our jammies.
—I’m so glad he’s catching on! 😉
