Saturday was a bit of a disappointment –
The kids were at Grandma’s house, so we were trying to finish up the last details before the baby.
I ran errands in the morning – getting the last things needed for baby, plus finishing up Calvin’s birthday shopping.
I came home and got ready for the cleaners to come. For mother’s day Wyatt gave me a “coupon” to have some house keepers come and deep clean the house before baby.
I also went to the store to get some fabric for a quilt I have planned for Everett. I want to have it done for his birthday, and plan to start as soon as I am post-pardum. But of course, JoAnne’s (my one and ONLY fabric store) didn’t have a single bolt of corduroy in stock. Grrr.
Then the house keeper came – it was supposed to be two – and she said (as we barely communicated between her broken English and my pathetically awesome Spanish) that she wasn’t going to clean, just evaluate. Grrrr.
So the afternoon was a bust. I payed some bills, tried to organize a few things, wrote a few thank you cards, and waited for Wyatt to get home so we could go get the kids. Wyatt had spent the day at the cabin, getting the countertop underboard on.
We went and got the kids.
That night we went over to the Engh’s to watch a movie in their back yard – Beethoven. At least the kids had a great day.
