“I’m just going into the office for an hour” – was the original plan.
But just before he left he said – “Well, it might be a little longer. But for sure I’ll be home by two.”
And I knew he’d be at least until two.
Then just before two he called. “I have one more meeting, but I’ve told everyone I HAVE TO LEAVE at three o’clock.
And I just thought to my self “mmm hmm”
So I wasn’t too upset when he didn’t come home until four.
We were packed and ready to go.
So we jumped in the van and cruised up to the cabin for an evening of fun.
BBQ – A long, slow walk – movies while it rained outside – chatting on the rocking chairs on the porch while the kids went to sleep inside – morning cereal – games and explores – and packing up to come home.
