Yesterday was the change day . . . the day when summer changes to fall. It’s a different day every year. Last year it didn’t happen until October 28th . . . I remember, because it was the day Olivia was born.
How do you know when it’s the change day? It’s a day when the weather is cool and crisp, and there’s a drizzly rain all day long, that peels away the hot dry scab of summer. There will still be hot days-Indian Summer- but they are tempered with azure skies and red leaves on the mountains and cool dew on the grass in the mornings.
