The morning started with a Dr. appt. -Still only dialated to a one, with not a lot of indication that anything will be happening any time soon. I didn’t worry about it – I never show signs of “going” until I “go.”
Came home and made the kids pick up the house – candy wrappers EVERYWHERE from the parade the day before.
Packed up and took the little lovelies down to Grandma’s house for their last pre-baby sleep over, so Wyatt and I can finish our mountain of projects.
Ran errands – KSL pickup, the Outlet Mall for some cute baby clothes, Costco.
Came home and cleaned up the house – just a little – in anticipation of my “Blessing Way.”
Nicole and Kellie came over and gave me a beautiful Blessing Way – a party in which the women pamper and coo you as you prepare to give birth.
It was SOOOO much fun to sit and laugh with these dear friends of mine while they gave me a pedicure and a henna tattoo for my belly, and we talked and giggled and told all the fun stories of our lives these days. I love getting girl time, and it really made me remember how much my babies are a group effort. I know a lot of women are extremely efficient and self contained in bringing their babies to the earth. But my life is not so, and I wouldn’t make it without all the love, support and help from my friends.
